Your retail placement is actually a nine-month course – falling between June and July of the following year – and split into five sections. It ends with a final project set by your Regional Director.

From day one, you'll find out what Aldi – and retailing – is all about. The Store Operations section is longest because you'll learn the most. You'll do everything, from stacking shelves to shadowing a Store Manager. Even occasionally stepping into their shoes to order stock, deal with customers and motivate the store team. It's four months of intensive, fascinating work – but it's not for the faint-hearted
